Information technology (IT) forms an
integral part of the systems and services we provide to both our
clients and our own lawyers. We invest heavily in a wide range of
systems and closely align our IT strategy with our business plan
and, most importantly, with our clients'
needs.
Our offices use Virtual Private
Secure Networks to communicate with each other and with our clients
through our "Client Portal" systems. This provides a "One Office"
environment in which our lawyers and clients can collaborate
seamlessly on documents and knowledge information. Our technology
systems and services are also available to our lawyers via the
Internet, while the use of GPRS and 3G services via hand-held
devices such as PDAs, Blackberries and other mobile devices ensures
that our lawyers remain in touch while on the move.
We use the latest technology for
large transactions and complex litigation, including in-house
litigation support systems that provide secure access externally
and internally to litigation materials.
We continue to develop our e-legal
business solutions and are always happy to discuss any specific
requirements, however complex, with our clients.
Our IT Board constantly monitors our
IT strategy and services to ensure that we keep abreast of the
rapidly-changing and emerging international standards. We utilise
the best available technology to deliver the most practical and
cost-effective solutions and services.
